LABC - USA RULES AND POLICIES


Due to representation of the United States and having to abide by numerous vendors' rules and policies, all players and travelers must abide by all listed below.



LABC-USA TRIP RULES AND POLICIES
Payment All payments are NONREFUNDABLE unless player is injured and cannot COMPETE IN SPORTS. Notarized doctor's note required and only a portion will be refunded (depending upon date of injury and vendor rules that apply).
All payments due on or before the 5th of each month. Must be postmarked by 5th of respective month. 
$250 player deposit (or traveler deposit) required to secure spot with monthly payments thereafter.Entire trip must be paid off on or before July 5th of competing year. No player will be allowed to participate if trip is not paid off by such date.
Payment Form and Address
Check, money order, or cash accepted. No credit cards accepted. Make all checks payable to 'Big League Edge'

Additional Travelers
Additional travelers can be added by June 15th of competing year without late fees. After June 15th, late fee of $75 per traveler applies.
Fees
$25 late fee and $20 canceled check fee apply to all accounts not current or past due.
Airfare All travelers are required to book their own airfare. SDQ is the airport code destination.
Booking All players and travelers MUST book trip through Big League Edge- per hosting organization rules. Any traveler failing to do so will not be allowed into any game, as all fields are located on private gated property.
Extended Stay and Upgrades
Travelers can extend their stay and upgrade rooms to ocean view or suite. Pricing varies.
Passports All travelers are required to have a valid passport. Make sure to provide six weeks of processing time to get valid US passport.
Traveling Alone
Players traveling alone are required to have a notarized letter from parent/guardian explaining contact and emergency info. Must be in possession of player at all times.
Medical In the event a player or traveler needs medical attention, immediately notify hotel staffing, coaches, or traveling secretaries.
Liable BLE is NOT responsible for lost, stolen, or misplaced property and/or injury occurring due to sports related or trip related activities.

LABC-USA PLAYER AND TEAM CODE OF CONDUCT
Playing Time
Playing time and playing opportunity are not equal. The best nine will be placed on the field at all times. 
Game Rules
No parents allowed in or near dugout. All logistical support must be handled PRIOR to game start between parent and player.
Coaching Although parent opinion may vary from coaches' views, no discussions of any kind concerning playing time, game strategy, or any "on field" issues.
Sportsmanship  All players are representing their country. No emotional outburst of any kind allowed. Any act that may be deemed embarrassing or unsportsmanlike conduct will be dealt with quickly and with removal from game or dugout.
Buddy System
All players are required to utilize the "buddy system". No player is allowed to leave resort premises whatsoever, unless accompanied by parent/guardian. In the event this occurs, parent/guardian MUST notify traveling secretary or team coach.
Dress Code
All players are required to have short hair and look professional- colored shirt, jeans worn properly, and no athletic shorts allowed. Beach and pool attire permissible if participating in beach or pool activities. No earrings or jewelry requiring a piercing and necklaces inside shirts.
Curfew All players required to abide by curfew.
Language and Conduct
No foul language allowed. No conduct that can be deemed premiscuous allowed. No alcoholic beverages of any kind for any player. All players not allowed in disco or clubs. No gambling allowed.  Be respectful of other travelers and/or fans at all times.
Itinerary Be on time which requires players and travelers to be at designated meeting area 15 minutes PRIOR to departure. All buses will leave whether you are on it or not.
Equipment Players are responsible to provide their own personal baseball equipment, baseball pants, catching equipment, bat, glove, helmets, belts, socks, and shoes.
