LABC TOURNAMENT DETAILS

The Latin American Baseball Classic is one of Latin America's biggest baseball tournaments and has been in existence for over 25 years. Annually drawing teams from all across Latin America, BLE Worldwide has the only United States bid and has been entering tournament teams (representing the USA) into the LABC since 2005.

Game Guaranty

4 game guaranty. Transportation to and from games provided. Lunch and beverages included for all double headers. Rained out games are made up and/or rescheduled, but there is NO guaranty that such will occur.

Pod Play

Must win at least 2 out of first 4 to qualify for Semis and Finals. If LABC-USA team does not qualify for Semis and/or Finals, no additional games will be provided.

Age Brackets

9-10U, 11-12U, 13U, 14U, 15U, 16U, 16U-19U. All ages utilize Latin baseball age rules wherein age cutoff is July 15th of competing year and AGE RANGES (rather than "age specific).

Fields and Location

Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Teams play most games at the MLB Training Complex fields of the White Sox, Rays, Twins, Orioles, Twins, and Diamondbacks or at private club fields.

Countries Potentially Represented

Dominican Republic, Venezuela, USA, Aruba, Panama, Puerto Rico, Brazil, Virgin Islands. and Mexico. Countries subject to change.

Opening and Closing Ceremonies

Flag waving ceremony, anthems, live band, and all teams and their fans attend opening ceremonies. LABC wide awards are given out to top athletes and champions are crowned. Closing ceremonies is a time for player interaction and cultural exchanges.

Awards and Media Banquets

Awards for LABC-USA teams and individual players and much more. A tremendous international and cultural exchange of events. Media is present and interviews will be required of players and coaches.

Game Action

Games draw hundreds of fans and all MLB rules apply. Catchers can be taken out, hard slides into second base, and more. Be prepared to compete!!
