FOUNDING OF BLE PERFORMANCE BASEBALL

Throughout Jim Parque's illustrious baseball career that spanned a full athletic scholarship to UCLA, a bronze medal in the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, a 1st round draft pick by the Chicago White Sox, and seven major league seasons spent as a starting pitcher, Jim Parque experienced everything that America's Pastime had to offer. His career was one of strife, disappointment, elation, and political suppression. Through it all, Jim had two incredible role models that mentored him through all of these obstacles.

Richard Parque, Jim's father, was his lifelong coach and trainer. He taught Jim how to become the major league superstar he became by instilling two simple principles into his student- hard work and accountability. By applying these two principles to everything that he set out to accomplish, Jim was able to ensure his future successes.

The other role model is Jerry Reuss. This major league veteran that pitched during the 80's and 90's, whom is currently a sportscaster with numerous primetime sports channels, mentored Jim in the proper training techniques that would give him the edge over his competition. The mentoring concentrated solely on mental baseball- which is now the main reason BLE is now able to provide the greatest training around. One day, Mr. Reuss told Jim that when his major league career was over, he should train a young player like Jerry trained him. Thus, Big League Edge Performance Baseball was founded in the Fall of 2004, and as they say, "The rest is history."

Due to the efforts and sacrifices of Richard Parque and Jerry Reuss, Jim was able to fulfill his dream. BLE is the result of the combined efforts of these two great men whom loved baseball so much that they dedicated their lives towards building the career of another. This is the essence of youth baseball and is the sole reason why BLE is the fastest growing phenomenon to sweep the Pacific Northwest baseball community in years.
