This strength, speed, and agility, training program is baseball and position specific. Since softball and baseball are almost identical in the movements and mechanics that players utilize, this program is softball specific as well.

 

Baseball is a deceleration sport that requires immense strength to facilitate the explosive power that is required of fielding, hitting, and pitching. This program's curriculum is currently utilized by many MLB players and organizations. Jim Parque, a former White Sox starting pitcher of five years trained with this program and experienced an increase in his velocity by four mph and weight by twenty two pounds over two off seasons.

 

Workout Curriculum:

  • Continuous stations that train core strength, upper and lower body strength, fast twitch muscle strength, explosive power, conditioning, and arm strength.
  • Speed training that builds the explosive first step needed in fielding and stealing.
  • Endurance training that improves longevity of muscular power, mainenance of speed, and strength levels.
  • Injury prevention training that increases the "power chain" strength to reduce risk of injury.
  • Rotator cuff strengthening to increase arm strength and reduce arm injuries.
  • Explosive power and strength training that concentrates on the deceleration strength of fast twitch muscle fibers to improve muscular power levels.
  • Position specific for hitters or pitchers
  • Tendon and ligament strengthening.
  • Conditioning and endurance training.

Program Details:

  • November 12 - February 29
  • 4:10-5:00 PM
  • BLE strength trainers teaching at all workout sessions
  • Monday, Wednesday, and Friday (attend any or all days)
  • $70 per month
  • All ages- includes parents!!!!!
