WHAT IS LONG TOSS THROWING
Not found in the PNW due to indoor space constraints, BLE now offers long toss to build arm strength out to 250'. The Long toss workout is elongated throwing that is the precurser for bullpens and throws across the diamond. The hardest throwers on any MLB team are consistently the outfielders. This is due to their arm stroke that requires length and extension to power the baseball at such distances. Velocity requires the aforementioned and long toss is the ONLY way to reproduce and develop such properly.
LONG TOSS DRILLS & DEVELOPMENT
BLE will utilize an MLB grade long toss baseball program that provides interval throwing to ensure arm health, support, and velocity development. Now that ball flight is provided on throws, instructors will have the ability to see how the baseball spin and trajectory are being effected by the athlete's mechanics - providing a higher rate of development not found anywhere else in the PNW.
Additionally, over and under load training is provided throughout every long toss program training session - all of which has produced an average of 4-6MPH gains over the course of 4-6 months of training.
After each throwing session, athletes will have the ability to move directly into BLE's new arm care facility to help preserve their throwing shoulders, elbows, and more. This is a crucial step towards ensuring the injury risk stays low.
